Our Story

Troll design and manufacture climbing clothing and equipment. Most of our products are made in our small factory in Skipton, North Yorkshire. We aim to produce durable, long lasting products that offer good value for money in the long term and perform across all disciplines of climbing, from indoor training, to bouldering, trad and sport climbing. 

Troll is a company synonymous with climbing and mountaineering history. In the late 1960s we developed the world's first sit harness; the Whillans Harness. We also developed other innovative products that helped some of the best climbers in the world push boundaries in alpine climbing.

Throughout the 70s and 80s and 90s we remained at the forefront of the UK and European climbing scenes. We're proud of our heritage and the impact we've had on the growth and development of climbing. We aim to take the brand forward with a renewed sense of optimism and adventure.
