Flow climbing shorts proving popular this summer.

Lightweight, stretchy and comfortable, the Flow shorts are designed for climbing all year round. They're great for multi-sport use too. Along with most Troll products they're made in the small factory in Yorkshire.

So, why are climbers opting for the Flow's as their new go-to shorts of choice? As well as looking pretty nice, they feature two deep hand pockets and a rear pocket, a comfortable elastic waistband and are just above knee length. Freedom of movement is guaranteed due to the stretchy fabric and climbing focussed patterning.

Both the Flow shorts and trousers are unisex and can offer a great fit for anyone as they range in size from XS to XL, with the trousers also coming in 3 different lengths.

Let's hear from some Troll ambassadors and customers for an insight into how these shorts perform at the crag, on the wall and in daily life.

Solomon Kemball-Dorey (@solly.k.d)

'The flow shorts are my favourite, rarely climb in anything else as the are so comfortable, light weight and allow complete freedom of movement. I've been wearing them since September and there's no sign of wear, as a bonus they come in a great colour.'

Gemma Bassett (@yorkshireexplorer)

'The Flow shorts are super comfortable for general wear and feel great to climb in. Very stretchy fabric so can feel reassured on climbs that they're not going to hold you back or be restricting at all. Nice cut too and a great colour!!

As a female they are a little long in the leg for me personally but I think the waist band is very complimentary for anyone who sometimes can feel restricted by a zip or button up climbing pants.'

Joe Lane (@joeclimbs_)

'I love climbing in the flow shorts. My movement feels completely unrestricted, and they're super comfortable. I also love the colour.'

Jonny Bird (@bird.jonny)

'The flow shorts have become my first choice for both hiking and climbing. They are quick drying, super comfy and allow real ease of movement. Combine that with a great look and you are on to a winner! I would recommend them for everything from long days walking in the Highlands to days bouldering in the Peak.'

James Ferguson (@james.aferguson)

'Both the flow trousers and shorts I have found tend to be absolutely fantastic and I use them almost everyday not just for climbing but also for the gym and kayaking. Despite the lightweight material which is an excellent choice they are very robust and can handle wear easily, and the elasticated waist makes them very comfortable and easy to wear. They also look great and I've had multiple people ask about them while at the wall.'

Why not discover a pair of Flows for yourself, go on, see what all the fuss is about. You can now find them at many shops and climbing walls such as The Depot, Castle Climbing Centre, V12 Outdoor and many others.
